Robert Jackson (scientist)

Robert Earl Jackson ( b. 1949 ) is an American astronomer who in 1976 discovered the Faber -Jackson relation, together with Sandra Moore Faber. The Faber -Jackson relation is an experimentally observed relationship between the luminosity and the velocity dispersion in elliptical galaxies.
