Robert Jemison, Jr.

Robert Jemison, Jr. ( born September 17, 1802 in Lincoln County, Georgia, † October 16, 1871 in Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama) was an American politician in the 19th century.

Jemison was from 1837 to 1863 a member of the Alabama State Legislature. He also represented the State of Alabama in 1861 as a delegate at the Secession Convention. After the outbreak of the American Civil War, he was from 1863 to 1865 served as a senator in the 1st and 2nd Konföderiertenkongress.
