Robert-Joseph Coffy

Robert -Joseph Cardinal Coffy ( born October 24, 1920 in Le Biot, France, † July 15, 1995 in Saint -Zacharie ( Var), France) was Archbishop of Marseille.

Life

Robert Coffy studied at the Seminary of Annecy, the subjects philosophy and Catholic theology and received on 28 October 1944, the sacrament of Holy Orders. In the years 1944-1949 he pursued further studies in Lyon and worked occasionally as a pastor in Annecy. From 1949 he was a member of the faculty of the Seminary of Annecy, where he has been rain in the years 1952 to 1956.
