Robert Joy

Robert Joy ( born August 17, 1951 in Montreal, Quebec ) is a Canadian actor.

Life and work

Robert Joy was born in Quebec and raised in Newfoundland. Later he attended the English Corpus Christi College, Oxford University and the Canadian Memorial University of Newfoundland, which he left with a degree.

Since the mid- 1970s he played in various films and television productions. A larger audience Robert Joy was his role in the movie Desperately Seeking Susan ... known. In it, he plays the punk musician friend of Susan illustrated by Madonna. From 2005 to 2013 he played Dr. Sid Hammerback, one of the lead roles in the internationally popular TV series CSI: NY.

In addition to his acting for television and cinema, Robert Joy was temporarily a member of the Canadian comedy troupe CODCO, with whom he appeared on stage before the troops went to Canadian television, and there 1988 to 1992 had a series in which Robert Joy back and occurred again. He played with also appeared in the 1986 movie, in which starred the entire CODCO ensemble.
