Robert Kendrick

Robert Bradley Kendrick (* November 15, 1979 in Fresno, California) is an American tennis player.

He plays since 1999 on the ATP Tour and is one of the last serve- and-volley player. His highest world ranking position was ranked 69 in July 2009 in singles and also rank 77 in February 2008 in doubles. During his career he has earned around 1.3 million U.S. dollars in prize money.

One of the biggest successes of his career he reached at the Wimbledon Championships in 2006, when he joined the then world number two Rafael Nadal was beaten only extremely tight in five sets in the second round.

At the French Open in 2011 Robert Kendrick was tested positive for doping agent methylhexaneamine and then locked by the ITF for a year. Kendrick, who had only taken the remedy in his own words to combat jet lag, but then pulled in front of the CAS in order to shorten the lock at three months. With its original goal, although he failed, but he achieved a reduction of the sentence to eight months. However, for he was still not allowed to start at the U.S. Open 2011.
