Robert Kidston
Robert Kidston ( born June 29, 1852 in Renfrew, Scotland, † July 13, 1924 in Gilfach Goch, Glamorganshire, Wales ) was a Scottish botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " KidsT. ".
Life and work
His academic training received Kidston in Edinburgh.
He devoted himself to the plants from the Devonian, a geological era before 408-360 million years ago. He discovered many fossil plants from this era.
Kidston was in 1902 elected a Fellow of the Royal Society. In 1916 he received the Murchison Medal of the Geological Society of London awarded.
