Robert L. Rock

Robert L. Skirt ( born September 8, 1927 in Alexandria, Madison County, Indiana, † January 9, 2013 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida ) was an American politician. Between 1965 and 1969 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Indiana.

Career

Robert skirt graduated from the Anderson High School and then served during the final stages of World War II in the medical service of the United States Navy in a naval hospital in San Diego. He then studied the subject Economics at Indiana University. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party. Between 1955 and 1965 he sat as an MP in the House of Representatives from Indiana.

1964 rock on the side of Roger Branigin was elected Lieutenant Governor of Indiana. This post he held between January 1965 and January 13, 1969 11. Yet he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. In 1968 he ran unsuccessfully for the governorship. Between 1972 and 1980 he was mayor of the city of Anderson. During this time he founded the Urban Authority Housing Authority Commission and the public transport system ( Anderson Transportation System ). He died on January 9, 2013 in Fort Lauderdale.
