For many he is still regarded as the best drummer, with the James Last and his brother Werner ever worked together.

In the early 1970s he founded his own studio orchestra and published several LPs as happy dancing series, which were published by the DECCA in royal- stereo -sound. His first LP was the " Non stop Musical Party " ( Decca SLK 16627 -P). Other recordings: "happy dancing 2/non stop western party ", "happy dancing 3/non stop Zhivago party", "happy dancing 4/The current Non-stop Hit Party", "happy dancing 5/die current non-stop hit Party "," Happy Dancing/28 unforgettable tunes from the twenties "," Happy Dancing/28 unforgettable tunes from the thirties. In the 1980s, he wanted to become self-employed, but was apparently betrayed by his producer. When he wanted to play at James Last again, it came to battle. Since then, he no longer played in the bands of his brother.
