Robert Leavitt

Robert Grandison Leavitt ( born September 20, 1883 in Dorchester (Massachusetts ), † February 22, 1954 in South Hanover, Massachusetts ) was an American track and field athlete. At a height of 1.80 m, it had a competition weight of 73 kg.

During his college years at Williams College Robert Leavitt 1905 ran 15.8 seconds over 120 yards hurdles. At the 1906 Summer Olympics Leavitt won the 110- meter hurdles in 16.2 seconds. He came to coincide with the British Alfred Healey to the finish, but was seen by the target judges after a long discussion with one foot forward.

After he had broken his studies, Leavitt worked for many years at the Brighton Cooperative Bank in Massachusetts.
