Robert Lord

Robert Lord ( born May 1, 1900 in Chicago, Illinois, USA, † April 5, 1976 in Los Angeles, California, USA) was an American screenwriter and film producer.

Life

Robert Lord began in the mid 1920s with the writing of screenplays and literary works for film productions. Until 1937 he was involved in over 70 film scripts. Since 1932 he was also involved in the production of films that he continued even after 1937. So he worked until 1951 on 45 film projects as a producer.

However, he had Robert Lords greatest success as an author. In 1934, he won the Academy Award for Best Original Story for journey of no return. In 1938 he was nominated again in the same category for secret society Black Legion.

On April 5, 1976 Robert Lord died in Los Angeles of a heart attack.
