Robert M. Riddle

Robert M. Riddle (* August 17, 1812, † December 18, 1858 ) was an American politician.

Robert Riddle, the son of Judge James Riddle, grew up in Philadelphia and worked before his transition into politics at various banks. He was also postmaster and editor at the Commercial Journal. From 1853 to 1854 he served as Mayor of Pittsburgh. During his tenure, the worst cholera epidemic the city falls. Robert M. Riddle was in 1854 involved in the founding of the Republican Party of the United States.
