Robert of Alençon

Robert de Valois (* 1344, † 1377 ) was a Count of Perche and Porhoët from the House of Valois - Alençon.

Robert was a son of Count Charles II of Alençon and Marie de la Cerda. His uncle was King Philip VI. of France. In 1361 he received the counties of Perche and Porhoët that. During his minority, his eldest brother Charles III had administered. During the siege of La Charité -sur -Loire in 1364, in the struggle against Charles the evil, he was knighted. In 1370, he supported the Duke of Berry when taking Limoges, that was held by the Black Prince until then. But the led in the same year from a bloody punitive expedition against the city.

Was married to Robert since April 5, 1374 with the Breton nobles Joan of Rohan († 1407), daughter of the Viscount John I of Rohan. They had a son, but he died young.
