Robert Ouko (athlete)

Robert Ouko ( born October 24, 1948) is a former Kenyan sprinter and middle-distance runner.

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he left over in the 800 m in the semifinals. In the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1970, he won over the same distance in 1:46,89 min. In the 4 x 400 - meter relay, the Kenyan team in the cast Munyoro Nyamau, Julius Sang, Ouku and Charles Asati won in 3:03,63 min. In September of the same year presented a Kenyan relay with Nyamau, Naftali Bon, Ouku and Thomas Saisi with 7:11,6 min to a world record in the 4 x 880 - yards.

At the Olympic Games in 1972 Robert Ouko reached the finals in the 800 -meter run and finished fifth in 1:46,53 minutes. In the relay Kenya remained 2:59,83 minutes alone among three minutes and won in the cast Asati, Nyamau, Ouku and Sang gold.

Robert Ouko is 1,73 m tall and weighed 68 kg in his playing days. After his career, he was secretary of the Kenyan athletics federation.
