Robert Rowling

Robert B. Rowling ( born 1953 in Corpus Christi ( Texas), United States) is the founder of TRT Holdings, Inc. Under this holding, among other things, the hotel chain organized Omni Hotels and Gold's Gym. Forbes magazine has recognized in 2006 as the 42 - richest man in America Rowling.

1972 began Rowling to work for his father's company, Tana Oil and Gas. In 1989 he bought Texaco, Tana Oil and Gas of Rowling's father for approximately 476 million U.S. dollars. He used this money to found the TRT Holdings. Five years later he sold the TRT Holdings for around 131 million U.S. dollars, then in 1996 to buy the Corpus Christi National Bank Omni Hotels for around 500 million dollars and 2004 Gold's Gym for around 154 million U.S. dollars.

Rowling is also active as a member of the Board of the University of Texas System and has been recognized for his contributions in the presidential campaign of George W. Bush (2004 ), entitled Bush Pioneer.
