Robert Sara

Robert Sara ( born June 9, 1946 in Oberlainsitz, Lower Austria ) is a former Austrian football player and now to coach.

The trained automotive Spengler played 55 international matches for the Austrian national football team and is now coach of FK Austria Vienna, one of Austria's most successful football clubs.

His time as an active player Sara spent at SV Donau Vienna before Eduard Frühwirth 1964 brought him as storming outside Decker to FK Austria Wien. On his debut in 1965 in the national team he won with a sensational Austria at Wembley against England 3-2.

In 1978 he was captain of the famous Córdoba team that captured seventh place in the World Cup in Argentina and Germany defeated 3-2. In the same year he was also a captain in the 0-4 defeat of Austria in the Cup Winners' Cup final against Anderlecht on the court. 1984 played the football player for one year in Favoritner AC and went then, forty years old, at that Wienerliga club FKL Wimmer.

As a trainer he was twice (1988, 1998) an interim coach of Austria Vienna. Since the summer of 2008, he is the co - coach of the amateur team of the Vienna Austria.

He is married and has one child. Robert Sara's younger brother Josef Sara was also a professional football player and national team.
