Robert Seguso

Robert Seguso ( born May 1, 1963 in Minneapolis ) is a former American professional tennis player.

Career

Robert Seguso was with his longtime doubles partner Ken flat one of the best men's doubles players in the second half of the 1980s, reaching in this discipline with the victories at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul and four Grand Slam wins his greatest successes. The French Open 1987, he won with Anders Jarryd. The other three Grand Slam singles titles and 24 victories in other ATP tournaments he won with Ken Flach. He led in the years 1985 to 1988, to multiply the world ranking in doubles. Seguso came with Ken flat to double in 12 games for the U.S. Davis Cup team and lost only the last two of these games.

In individual Seguso could reach no ATP finals. His best finish in the world rankings was the 22nd place. His greatest successes were the first knockout round at the Wimbledon Championships 1985 and the Australian Open in 1987.
