Robert Shaye

Robert Shaye, known as Bob Shaye ( born March 3, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American film producer, director and founder of New Line Cinema. As a producer, he was responsible for the Nightmare series and the film adaptation of Lord of the Rings.

Life

At the age of 15 he made ​​his first film: a training video for employees of his father's supermarket.

Robert Shaye is the older brother of actress Lin Shaye.
