Robert Todd Carroll

Robert Todd Carroll ( born 1945 ) is an American professor of philosophy. He taught until his retirement at Sacramento City College and has written several non-fiction books and essays.

Caroll advocated atheism and critical skepticism. In 1994 he initiated the Skeptic 's Dictionary online. It initially contained only less than 50 products, most treated pseudoscience. Meanwhile, the lexicon includes hundreds of articles, many of which have been translated into various languages.

Carroll's publications have received much attention in the mainstream media.
