Robert Trujillo

Robert Trujillo ( pronunciation: [ tɾu'xiʎo ]; actually Roberto Agustín Miguel Santiago Samuel Trujillo Veracruz, born October 23, 1964 in Santa Monica, California) is the bassist for the U.S. American metal band Metallica. He grew up in Culver City, California on, is married and has two children.

In the late 1980s he played in the band Suicidal Tendencies, the mid-1990s he moved to Ozzy Osbourne. Trujillo also played for Infectious Grooves and Black Label Society, moreover, it is degradation to listen to Jerry Cantrell's second album Trip alongside Faith No More drummer Mike Bordin -.

After the departure of Jason Newsted in Metallica producer Bob Rock recorded the bass parts of the St. Anger album. Shortly before the release of this album in the spring of 2003, Robert Trujillo was the fourth bassist in the band's history.

Career

He played in several local bands before joining Suicidal Tendencies 1989. It replaced the fourth bassist of the band, Bob Heathcote. He was also responsible for radio - effects, the most on the albums Lights ... Camera ... Revolution! and The Art of Rebellion can be heard. Trujillo brought Mike Muir to the radio and the two then founded the band Infectious Grooves. From the late 1990s on was Trujillo member of Ozzy Osbourne's band and was the subject of a controversy because he re- grossed by the will Osbournes the bass tracks by Bob Daisley for the re-releases of Osbourne's albums Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman, since Daisley claimed to get any decent royalties. This has been criticized on the albums no stickers were attached, which told the people that they did not buy originals.

Robert Trujillo was new on 24 February 2003 bassist of Metallica, after he had completed a trial game in which it was found that it fit well with the other band members James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich and Kirk Hammett. Excerpts from his audition and acceptance into the band can be seen in the documentary Some Kind of Monster.

Technology

Trujillo plucks his bass mostly, but not exclusively, with the fingers. During the recordings and live performances with Ozzy Osbourne and his work with Black Label Society, he played with a plectrum. With the finger -picking, he stands in the tradition of former Metallica bassist Cliff Burton, who also largely renounced picks. It is also noteworthy Trujillo's deep bass attitude.
