Robert Wolke

Dr. Robert L. Cloud (* 1928 in New York City ) is an Emeritus Professor of the University of Pittsburgh and nonfiction author who was known primarily for the non-fiction book series "What Einstein ... ".

Life

Cloud was born in 1928 in New York. At age 12 he got his first chemistry set. He studied chemistry at Cornell University. From 1960 to 1990 he was professor at the University of Pittsburgh, where he taught chemistry. For several years he published the column Food 101 in the Washington Post that eventually the idea for his first non-fiction book " What Einstein told his chef " was born. Cloud tries in his books, to explain scientific phenomena of everyday life for laymen to understand.

Cloud is married and has a daughter, he lives in New Hampshire.
