Roberto Amadei

Roberto Amadei ( born February 13, 1933, Verdello, † December 29, 2009 in Bergamo) was a Roman Catholic church historian and bishop of Bergamo.

Life

With eleven years Amadi entered the seminary of Clusone one, joined the seminary of Bergamo and later studied theology at the Pontifical Roman Seminary in Rome. After he was ordained a priest in March 1957, he graduated from 1957-1960 doctoral studies in Church History at the Pontifical Gregorian University. He then worked in pastoral care of the diocese of Bergamo to 1978. He supported the secular institute " Caritas Christi " and was a member of the Diocesan Council in 1984 until 1990. Pope John Paul II appointed him in 1984 as honorary prelate of His Holiness.

From 1960 to 1990, Roberto Amadei professor of church history at the seminary of Bergamo, the dean of the theology faculty, he was from 1968 to 1981 and rector from 1981 to 1990.
