Roberto Baronio ( born December 10, 1977 in Manerbio ) is a retired Italian footballer.

Playing career

Roberto Baronio began his career as a football player in 1994 at Brescia Calcio. However, early in his first professional season he had with his team suffered relegation as Table. After a year in Serie B 19-year- old Baronio was committed by the first division club Lazio. Among the Romans, the midfielder signed a long term contract and remained until 2001, in the capital - interrupted by two one-year lending.

Lazio Rome

For the 1997/98 season Baronio was loaned to second division club Vicenza Calcio, for which he was employed in 13 games to have achieved without a goal. After a year in Lazio's squad it was so far in the 1999/2000 season again and Baronio was awarded to the league rivals AC Reggiana. He had three goals in 31 games decisive role in the league. Although he was most successful during the time of the club's history at Lazio under contract, but he was in 1998 and 2000 respectively borrowed during the year and won the title European Cup Winners' Cup and UEFA Super Cup winner in 1999.

The last years

In 2001, it was finally time and Baronio left Lazio. After a one year stint at Fiorentina, at the end of the relegation to Serie B was, he played 2002/ 03 in the first division club Perugia Calcio. Through two strong years at Chievo Verona with a goal in 50 league games Baronio succeeded his former club Lazio to convince themselves, which took him a second time under contract. Again, he could not prevail, and remained a reserve player. For the second half of the season 2005/ 06 he was awarded again, this time at Udinese Calcio. In September 2008, Baronio moved on loan to Brescia Calcio in the Serie B. The season 2009/10 he spent again at Lazio, where Baronio was one of the permanent employees in the midfield and in 24 games in Serie A was used. For the 2010/11 season he signed a contract at third division Atletico Roma.

National

Roberto Baronio completed on 11 June 2005 his only game for Italy. The match against Ecuador ended in a 1-1 draw.
