Roberto Bettega

Roberto Bettega (* December 27, 1950 in Turin ) is a retired Italian footballer.

Bettega was in its heyday as one of the greatest strikers in the world. Almost his entire career, he was under contract at Juventus. Because of his graying hair at a young age he had the nickname penna bianca ( white feather).

Career

Bettega was next Paolo Rossi the great striker of Juventus in the 1970s and 1980s. Directly from the youth department Juventus ' coming, he completed during his career 326 Serie A matches and scored 129 goals. He won as a player several Italian championships and the UEFA Cup. The striker was at the Football World Cup 1978 in Argentina with Italy Fourth, as in the European Football Championship 1980 in their own country.
