Roberto Miña

Roberto Javier Mina Mercado ( born November 7, 1984 in Guayaquil ) is an Ecuadorian footballer.

The striker played in Ecuador at CS Emelec, Deportivo Quevedo, Liga de Loja and El Nacional Quito as well as for CA Huracán in Argentina. In 2005 he moved to the U.S. Major League Soccer for FC Dallas. In the 2007 season he fell after a knee injury in a preseason game for the entire season. An intended change to Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy in the first Argentine league failed in April 2008. In September 2008, he was presented as a new signing of the Argentine second division CA Belgrano. From there he moved in April 2009 to Centro Deportivo Olmedo back to Ecuador. In 2011 he played for CSD Macará before he returned to the 2011 season to his hometown club CS Emelec.

For the Ecuador national football team since 2003, he played 12 international matches (as of July 2007) and qualified with it for the Football World Cup 2006 It was, however, not taken up by coach Luis Fernando Suárez in the World Cup squad. .
