Roberto Parra

Roberto Parra ( Roberto Parra Mateo, born April 6, 1976 in Socuéllamos, Ciudad Real Province ) is a former Spanish middle distance runner.

About 800 m he won at the 1996 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Stockholm gold and peaked at the European Athletics Championships 1998 in Budapest and at the World Athletics Championships in 1999 in Seville the semifinals. In 2000 he finished fifth at the European Indoor Championships in Ghent and was eliminated at the Olympic Games in Sydney in the flow.

In 2003 he was respectively about 1500 m at the World Indoor Championships in ninth in Birmingham and tenth at the World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis.

Twice he was Spanish Champion over 800 meters outdoor (1998, 2000) and five times in the Hall (1996, 1998-2001).
