Roberto Pregadio

Roberto Pregadio (December 6, 1928 in Catania, † November 15, 2010 in Rome ) was an Italian film composer, musician and conductor.

Life

Pregadio studied at the conservatory in Naples piano and played this instrument in the orchestra of RAI in the 1960s. He soon took over conductors tasks and wrote from 1966 on numerous film scores.

The majority of his work delivered Pregadio for radio and television; as he was inter alia from 1968 for forty years for the mission of La corrida musically responsible. In addition, he had in the 1980s, a swing orchestra, the Sestetto Swing di Roma, with Franco Chiari (vibraphone ), Baldo Maestri ( clarinet), Carlo Pes (guitar), Alessio Urso ( bass) and Roberto Zappulla (drums ); with the group, he recorded the album Five Continents for the label Fonit - Cetra. He also worked as a professor at the Conservatorio Licinio Refice in Frosinone.
