Roberto Rosales

Roberto José Rosales Altuve ( born November 20, 1988 in Caracas ) is a Venezuelan football player. The defender stands in July 2010 at FC Twente Enschede under contract.

Club career

As a boy, Roberto Rosales graduated from the Escuela del Instituto school football Pedagógico in his Venezuelan homeland. At 15, he moved to FC Deportivo Gulima. He played in the National Championships for U -17 and U-20 teams, before he was admitted to the youth department of the dominant capital club Caracas FC. Here he could still play in 2006 with 17 years in the first team. Due to its speed and technique, he was considered one of the greatest football talents of the country. When he came to Europe in 2007, he has been rejected for medical reasons at RSC Anderlecht, but after a trial at the KAA Gent, where he received a contract. He played 15 times in the First Division and was on 14 July 2007 his international team debut with an insert in the Intertoto Cup in a 4-0 win in Northern Ireland against Cliftonville. He completed his first season and successfully with the first third Cup finals of KAA Gent.

In the following season 2008/ 09 Rosales remained in the first half of the series initially rather complement player, but in the second half he had his breakthrough. In the season 2009/10 he was a regular; Gent was third league and won the cup this time. National

Rosales played before he came to Europe, already in the U-20 national team of his native country. On 29 March 2007 he made his debut in the senior team when he was a substitute in a 5-0 friendly win against New Zealand for the second half. By May 2011, he completed 19 games in the jersey of Vinotinto, the "Wine Red ".
