Robin Devenish

Robin Devenish CE ( * 1943 ) is a British experimental physicist who is engaged in high-energy physics of strong interactions.

Devenish his doctorate at the University of Cambridge and was from 1979 at Hertford College, Oxford University, where he is a Fellow, Dean ( Dean ) and Professor of Physics. He worked on experiments at the storage rings DORIS and PETRA at DESY and then at the local HERA experiment of deep inelastic electron-proton scattering ( ZEUS detector ).

In 2009 he was awarded the Max Born Prize for " his key role in determining the structure function of the proton and the derivation of the quark and Gluonendichten at small parton momentum, which led to significant advances in the understanding of quantum chromodynamics ".
