Robin Givens

Robin Givens ( born November 27, 1964 in New York City, New York ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

The father of Robin Givens, Reuben Givens, left the family when she was a child. First played the violin, then devoted himself to the art of acting. She studied at New York's American Academy of Dramatic Arts and at Sarah Lawrence College.

Givens appeared in the Bill Cosby Show in 1985. In the TV drama The Call Girl Club (1986 ) she played alongside Faye Dunaway. In the television thriller hours of Fear ( 1989) she played the lead role. In the comedy thriller Harlem Action - A black comedy (1991 ) she played alongside Forest Whitaker, in the comedy Boomerang (1992 ) she starred opposite Eddie Murphy in on one of the main roles. In 1991 she was awarded the Female Star of Tomorrow ShoWest Convention.

In the comedy Bitter Sweet Kisses (1994 ) played Givens again one of the main roles. For his role in the television drama Hollywood Wives: The New Generation (2003 ), in which she appeared alongside Farrah Fawcett, she was nominated for the 2004 Black Reel Award.

Givens was married in 1988 to 1989 Mike Tyson. In 1997 she married Svetozar Marinkovic. She has two born in the years 1992 and 1999 sons.
