Robin Trower

Robin Trower ( born March 9, 1945 in Catford, London Borough of Lewisham today, United Kingdom) is an English guitarist and rock musician.

Life and work

He became known by the band The Paramounts and Procol Harum from 1967. He left the group in 1971, founded in 1972 with Frankie Miller, Clive Bunker and James Dewar, the group Jew, which was unsuccessful, however. In 1973, Robin Trower formed a band under his own name, the musical had the guitar sound of Jimi Hendrix as a model and further developed later. The first three albums were produced by Matthew Fisher. By 1981, Trower 's albums in the U.S. were very successful.

From 1980 Trower worked with changing musicians, including Jack Bruce. He participated in 1991 at the reunification of Procol Harum and worked on the album The Prodigal Stranger with. Subsequently, he focused again on his solo career.

On his 60th birthday Robin Trower gave a concert in Bonn, which was recorded by WDR and released on DVD and CD.
