Robin White (tennis)

Robin White ( born December 10, 1963) is a former American tennis player.

Career

White played from 1983 to 1995 on the WTA Tour, winning two individual titles in Hershey in 1985 and in Auckland in 1992. The highlight of her career was winning the competition in women's doubles at the U.S. Open in 1988. She defeated her doubles partner Gigi Fernandez in the final Patty Fendick and Jill Hetherington in two sets 6:4 6:1.

She was successful in her career in a double with eleven tournaments. Robin White came in 1989, also at the U.S. Open, with Shelby Cannon another success at a major tournament. They won in the mixed doubles competition. White reached the final in 1991, Mixed competition and that in women's doubles in New York City.

Rank 15 in singles and eighth in double were the highest rankings of U.S. citizen in the tennis world rankings. Currently, the Damenchoach in the USTA.
