Rock pinnacle

A needle shaped rock, also called rock tower or rock pinnacle, is a single and isolated from other rocks or groups of rocks standing rock, which has a pointed shape.

Examples are the peak top of the Aiguille du Midi in the Mont Blanc massif, which is approximately 43 m high Barbarine on the south side of the Pfaff steins at Königstein or the bishop's miter, the Three Peaks and the Vajolet towers in the Dolomites, which are rich in towers.
