Rock with You is a song by Michael Jackson from 1979, which first appeared on his album Off the Wall. The song was released on 3 November 1979 as a single and in the United States and Spain, a number -one hit. After Ben and Do not Stop 'Til You Get Enough, it was Jackson's third number -one hit.
At Rock with You Jacksons second music video was produced. Jackson sings the song in a sequined suit against a background of a laser and dancing there.
Composer was, as with many songs on Off the Wall and Thriller later, Rod Temperton. Originally the song I Want To Eat You Up was to be called, but got the final title because this was felt to be more appropriate for Michael Jackson's image.
The song was part of the set list by Michael Jackons Bad World Tour and later as part of a medley on his HIStory World Tour.
On 27 February 2006, the song was on the album Visionary: The Video Singles released.
Cover versions
At the end of 1995, producer Quincy Jones the song for his album Q's Jook Joint one more time. This time, the Contemporary R & B singer Brandy sang the song together with the rapper and frontman of the group Heavy D & the Boyz Heavy D. This version was released on November 7, just as airplay single and reached number 21 on the Billboard Rhythmic Top 40 and position 74 on the Billboard R & B-/Hip-Hop-Tracks. In 2005, the title appeared on the Best of album of the singer Brandy The Best of Brandy.
