Geographical location

The Rockaway Peninsula (also known as The Rockaways ) is a narrow elongated peninsula in the New York City borough of Queens, the bodden like Jamaica Bay separates from the Atlantic Ocean. The western tip of the peninsula forms the eastern edge of the Lower New York Bay.

Rockaway houses in addition to several residential neighborhoods such as Far Rockaway with Rockaway Beach is also a popular beach in New York on the Atlantic. The peninsula is part of the island of Long Iceland, which belongs entirely to the State of New York; in the east it meets as part of Queens County to the Nassau County, where join the coast following Hempstead and Long Beach.
