Rocketeer (song)

Rocketeer is a song by American Electro-/Hip-Hop- and dance quartet Far East Movement in collaboration with singer Ryan Tedder. It was released as the second single from the album Free Wired reports, the first on 29 October 2010 in the United States. On 28 January 2011, the single was released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and on 11 February 2011 then in the United Kingdom. The song was parodied KevJumba and Chester See, among others, the YouTubers Ryan Higa. Overall, the version has been viewed entitled Shed a Tear than 18.5 million times on YouTube. Rocketeer was released by the label Cherrytree Records.

Text and recording

The lyrics are, according to Far East Movement member Kevin Nishimura about trying to show a girl that you love them and you want so show her the world. Lyricist were Bruno Mars, Jae Choung, James Roh, Kevin Nishimura, Virman Coquia, Jonathan Yip, Jeremy Reeves, Ray Romulus and Philip Lawrence. Kev Nish also stated that they in the studio Apologize by Tedder's band OneRepublic had listened and they wanted to have this sound in their song. Far East Movement stated that they would find it great that they could arrange Tedder, who had had a " busy schedule " and for taking with them the time could muster.

The official music video was first published on 29 October 2010 on YouTube. It begins with a young couple. The woman said that she had the job in Tokyo must assume the man can not go there though. They kiss, and he runs with a skateboard to his home. He drives through the city and collected by various people old things a. Nick Levine of Digital Spy said that the song would result in the production of the Smeezingtons, the rousing, sung by Ryan Tedder chorus and the personality of Far East Movement a very good song. He forgave four out of five stars. Even Bill Lamb of About.com awarded four stars and said that the song would be perfect for a mainstream and pop radio.
