History

The first pieces of music from Rock Four were written in Hebrew, such as the 1991 released single HaKa'as, which was well received by the public in Israel and found the entrance to the Israeli rock charts.

After the band had various style and made of cast changes they finally took place in 1995 with her second studio album Ha'ish Shera'a Hakol ( in German: The man who saw it all ) to their own style, which they largely remained true to this day. The music on this album was mainly based on the psychedelic rock of the sixties, which was further emphasized by the use of used vintage instruments and recording equipment. For the album six music videos were filmed. All were held in Amateur Vintage film clips, accompanied by footage of the band in the same style. Although Rockfour were not well known at this time, increased their prestige with this album rapidly until it finally was especially true among the younger critics as the best Hebrew- language rock album on the market. Years later, the band received the gold record with 20,000 copies sold.

Towards the end of the nineties Rockfour also began to write texts in English. During this time, a studio album of cover versions of various Israeli rock songs originated; for example, by Shalom Hanoch, Arik Einstein and Behazara L' shablul. Although the bulk of the songs were written in the psychedelic era of the band and in the typical neo- psychedelic style apply albums from this period, as Shablul to the most straightforward and least complicated of the band. 1999 Rockfour adopted alongside the live album Behofa'a of the Hebrew language. On the album they played both new as well as older pieces, accompanied by a string orchestra. The last song of the album is titled Mesibat Siyum, which means as much as closing party.
