Rocky Burnette

Rocky Burnette ( born June 12, 1953 in Memphis ( Tennessee)) is an American musician, singer and songwriter.

Rocky Burnette is best known for his song Tired Of toein ' The Line, with whom he ranked number 44 and reached 1980 in the German single charts in the U.S. singles chart top spot 8. This success in the U.S., he heard with his father Johnny Burnette to the small group of parents and children, who succeeded each, to place in the top ten (such as Frank and Nancy Sinatra ).

This success song was a single from his debut album Son of Rock and Roll (1979 ), which was released by his record company EMI America Records Inc.. Due to financial difficulties of EMI after considerable initial success Burnettes it came to marketing problems. His second album, Heart Stopper (1980 ) was finally no longer published by EMI, but sold to the MCA. The MCA, however, marketed Burnettes album itself, but left it under the small record label The Goods Records appear. Due to the lack of professional now again promoted the album Heartstopper and the following single of the song of the same name, this new publications remained largely unknown.

In 1981, Burnette joined with former members of the legendary group "Rock and Roll Trio" together (including "Johnny Burnette Trio" ) of his early deceased father. With them, he realized at the small American record company Enigma his next album Get Hot or Go Home! Many of his songs himself wrote Rocky Burnette, but he was also working for others, such as Percy Sledge. He comes from a musical family.
