Rodalbe

Rodalbe ( German Rodalben ) is a commune with 214 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Château- Salins and Canton Albestroff.

Geography

Rodalbe between Morhange and Bénestroff at an altitude 226-290 m above sea level, the average height is 245 m. The municipality covers 10.57 km ².

The village lies at the source of the small river Albe.

The municipality includes the hamlet Rodalbe

  • Feriendal ( holiday valley ), facing south,
  • Sainte -Suzanne ( Santa Susanna ), and south, and
  • Allewald, located on the east.

History

By the Peace of Westphalia came up to then German city of France and was then again German 1871 by the Peace of Frankfurt until the end of the First World War. Even at the time of the Second World War was the place under German administration.
