Roderic Coote

Roderic Norman Coote ( born April 13, 1915 in Woking, † 2000) was an Anglican bishop.

Coote studied at the Irish Trinity College and was ordained in 1939 and subsequently used as a curate at St Bartholomew 's, Dublin. After a decade as a missionary in Gambia 1951, he was employed as the successor of John Daly as bishop of the Diocese of Gambia and the Rio Pongas. In 1957 he moved to the United Kingdom and became Bishop of Fulham. After nine years, he became in 1966 Bishop of Colchester, the Suffragan Bishop of Chelmsford.

Shortly before his fifty years of service died Coote. He was Irish champion in the 120 - yards hurdles and as a musician known.
