Rodes K. Myers

Rodes Kirby Myers ( born June 29, 1900 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, † March 10, 1960 ) was an American politician. Between 1939 and 1943 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Kentucky.

Career

About the youth and education of Rodes Myers nothing is handed down. After studying law and qualifying as a lawyer, he started in the field of criminal law to work. Politically, he joined the Democratic Party. In the years 1936, 1940, 1944, 1948 and 1956, he participated as a delegate to the Democratic National Conventions relevant.

1939 Myers was elected to the side of Keen Johnson as Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky. This post he held 1939-1943. Yet he was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate. In 1943 he ran unsuccessfully in the governor primaries of his party. After that, he is no longer politically have appeared. He died on 10 March 1960.
