Rödingsmarkt (Hamburg U-Bahn station)

The subway station is one stop Rödingsmarkt the Hamburg U -Bahn line U3. The metro station is located in Hamburg-Altstadt district.

History

Metro Station was built in the years 1910/11, designed by Raabe & Wöhlecke as part of the ring line. The platform area spans both tracks with a shallow pitched roof and exposed iron trusses. According to the central location in Hamburg you added the station on the north side by a representative hall of granite ashlar. This remained for almost 100 years the only access to the station.

A second input was created in 2002, under the direction of the architectural firm Grundmann Hein on the south side and all entrances accessible rebuilt.

Location and extension
