Rodney Stuckey
Rodney Norvell Stuckey (born 21 April 1986 Kent, Washington ) is an American professional basketball player.
Rodney Stuckey is 1,96 m tall and 93 kg. He plays since the 2007 /08 season in the NBA for the Detroit Pistons, of which he was drafted in the first round in 2007 in 15th place. He plays the position of shooting guards or point guards, where he hung in his rookie season, 8.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
College
Rodney Stuckey played for the Eastern Washington College. As a sophomore he managed 24.6 points, 5.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game on average. Against Portland State, he made his season high with 36 points. In his sophomore season, he had nine 30-point games and three 10 -assist games. His most steals in his career, he recorded against Idaho with seven steals. He was 4th best scorer of his country.
In only two seasons, he scored 1,438 points, hit 98 3-point throws, collected 283 assists and recorded 145 steals.
Since 11 January 2009 Stuckey's red Eastern Washington University Jersey is related to the number 3 in the hall ceiling.
NBA
On 28 June 2007 Rodney Stuckey was selected with the 15th overall pick in the framework of the NBA Drafts 2007 by the Detroit Pistons. In the Summer League he could thanks to 32.1 points, 9.1 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game quickly convinced, but he broke off before the start of the regular season left hand. Because of this injury he had to sit for eight weeks and he made his NBA debut until December 21, 2007. Especially he could shine in the NBA Playoffs in 2008, where he was injury-related loss of Chauncey Billups compensated perfectly in the 2nd round. But he also had very good games against Boston, for example, in the second game in which he was able to achieve 13 points in 17 minutes or in the 3rd game in which he took 17 points, 4 assists, 4 steals and 1 block materialize.
December 23, 2008 Stuckey scored his Karrierebestmarke in points when he hung up 40 points in the victory of his Pistons against the Chicago Bulls. He also recorded Karrierebestwerte in attempted and made throws. About 10 days later, Stuckey scored 38 points against the Sacramento Kings and shortly thereafter became the player of the week in the Eastern Conference. This week, he had an average of 27 points, 6 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals.
Stuckey played in the Rookie Challenge 2009 for sophomores, so the best players of the penultimate draft vintage, as part of the All-Star Weekend.
On March 5, 2010 during a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Rodney Stuckey collapsed during a time-out in the arms of Trainiers the Detroit Pistons and had to be rushed to a hospital. After a few games of rest he could continue his career, fortunately. His Career High of 12 assists Rodney Stuckey could achieve against the Toronto Raptors on December 11, 2010.
