Rodney Wallace (Massachusetts)

Rodney Wallace ( born December 21, 1823 in New Ipswich, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, † February 27, 1903 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts ) was an American politician. Between 1889 and 1891 he represented the state of Massachusetts in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Rodney Wallace attended the common schools and worked afterwards in papermaking. Later he hit as a member of the Republican Party launched a political career. In the years 1864, 1865 and 1867, he sat in the council of Fitchburg. In 1873 he was a member of the House of Representatives of Massachusetts; 1880-1882 he served on the senior staff of the Governor of Massachusetts.

In the congressional elections of 1888 Wallace was in the eleventh electoral district of Massachusetts in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of William Whiting on March 4, 1889. Since he resigned in 1890 to run again, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until March 3, 1891. After the end of his time in the U.S. House of Representatives Rodney Wallace worked again in papermaking. He died on February 27, 1903 in Fitchburg, where he was also buried.
