Rodobrana

The Rodobrana ( German: " Homeland Defense ") was the paramilitary organization of the Slovak Hlinka People's Party. The organization was founded in 1923 in Czechoslovakia, Vojtech Tuka and 1927 dissolved by an official order. The Tuka blindly devoted Rodobrana should, similar to "ensure peace in the party meetings " the fascist Blackshirts and the Nazi SA. After dissolution, the members continued their work in other party organizations. The Rodobrana was a forerunner of the Hlinka Guard.

On 13 December 1939, the Rodobrana was reorganized as a personal unity of the commander of the Hlinka Guard. The commander of the Rodobrana Vojtech Tuka was again.
