Rodrigo Alvim

Rodrigo Oliveira da Silva Alvim ( born November 25, 1983 in Porto Alegre ) is a Brazilian footballer.

Career

Alvim began playing football with his hometown club Gremio. There he grew up in the Erstligakader. The halftime of the 2004 season, he joined the second division SER Caxias do Sul. After Caxias had missed in the league, he remained in the second division and joined Vila Nova, but was already a year later again to further Paraná Clube.

In the summer of 2006, the left-back moved to Europe to Belenenses Lisbon. With the Portuguese, he was in the 2006/07 season fifth in the state championships and was in the cup final. In the 2007 /08 season he played with Belenenses in the UEFA Cup, but retired against Bayern Munich in the first round. The championship is completed eighth. In the two years in the Portuguese capital club Alvim was a regular player to hit 57 league bets.

For the 2008/09 season, the Brazilian moved to VfL Wolfsburg, where he signed a three-year contract. In his first season in Germany Alvim won the German championship with the wolves, even if he in the squad could not prevail and only start of the season was used twice.

During the winter break of the season 2009/10, the contract between Alvim and Wolfsburg was dissolved and he moved to his home to Flamengo Rio de Janeiro. In the 2012 season, he was standing by the Joinville Esporte Club under contract, from where he moved in 2013 to Paysandu Sport Club.
