Roger Helmer

Roger Helmer ( born January 25, 1944 in London ) is a British politician of the United Kingdom Independence Party ( UKIP ).

Life

Helmer studied mathematics at Churchill College, University of Cambridge. He was until March 2012 a member of the Conservative Party and joined in early March 2012 on the United Kingdom Independence Party ( UKIP ). Helmer since 1999 Member of the European Parliament for the Conservative Party and now sits for UKIP in the European Parliament. As euro skeptics Helmer wrote three books.

He is a member of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, the Committee on Petitions and the delegation for relations with the Korean Peninsula. As deputy Helmer is the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy and the Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
