Roger Lee Hayden

Roger Lee Hayden (born 30 May 1983 in Owensboro, Kentucky) is an American professional motorcycle racer.

In 2010 he started on a Kawasaki in the Superbike World Championship.

He is the younger brother of MotoGP World Champion in 2006, Nicky Hayden. His brother Tommy is also motorcycle racer.

Career

Roger Lee Hayden began his career in the U.S. national racing series in the AMA. At first he drove, as well as his brothers and father Earl, Dirttrack race. In 1998 he received the Dirt Track Horizon Award, 2004, he won the Barber Motorsports Park his first road race. In the years 2004 and 2005, Hayden finished behind each brother Tommy finished second overall in the AMA Supersport Championship. In 2007, he won the title in this category.

When the U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca in 2007 Roger Lee Hayden debuted with a wildcard in the MotoGP class of the Motorcycle World Championship. He started on a Kawasaki Ninja ZX- RR of the Kawasaki Racing Team, finishing in tenth place.

In the 2010 season he is Roger Lee Hayden regular driver Superbike World Championship, where he is on the side of the Italian Matteo Baiocchi on a Kawasaki ZX -10R at the start in the team Pedercini. His best finish so far (as of the end of season 2010) is the 13th place he reached on the Nürburgring for the second race in Brno, Czech Republic and the first race.

At the Grand Prix of USA 2010 Hayden represented in the MotoGP class in the LCR team of Lucio Cecchinello the injured Frenchman Randy De Puniet, who was injured in a crash at the Sachsenring. The Americans drove a Honda RC212V and finished eleventh.
