Roger Swinfen Eady, 3rd Baron Swinfen

Roger Mynors Swinfen Eady, 3rd Baron Swinfen ( born December 14, 1938) is a British peer. He is one of the 90 hereditary peers in the House of Lords, who remained there after the adoption of the House of Lords Act 1999.

He is the son of Charles Swinfen Eady, 2nd Baron Swinfen and author Mary Wesley. After the death of his father in 1977 he inherited the title. He attended Westminster School and then the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst. Subsequently, he did his military service in the Royal Scots, reaching there the rank of lieutenant.

Baron Swinfen, together with his wife, trustee and director of the Swinfen Charitable Trust. Since 1983 he is a Fellow of the Industry and Parliament Trust since 1988 and patron of the Disablement Income Group. In addition, he was in 1996 Patron of the Labrador Rescue South East. From 1983 to 1997 he was a member of the Direct Mail Services Standards Board. From 2001 to 2010 he was a member of the Center for Online Medicine, University of Queensland. He is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Drapers.

Since 1962, he is married to Patricia Anne Blackmore. They have three daughters and a son.
