Rogers County, Oklahoma

Rogers County is a county located in the state of Oklahoma in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Claremore.

Geography

The County is located in northeastern Oklahoma, is located in the north about 50 miles from Kansas and has an area of 1843 square kilometers, of which 95 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Nowata County, Craig County, Mayes County, Wagoner County, Tulsa County and Washington County.

History

Rogers County was formed on 16 July 1907 as original county of Cherokee country. It was named a Member of the Constituent Assembly ( " Constitunional Convention " ) from Oklahoma to Clement V. Rogers.
