Roggendorf

Rye Village is a municipality in the southwest of the district North West in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Gadebusch based in the same city.

Geography

The community rye village is near the border to Schleswig- Holstein in Schaalsee between cities Ratzeburg and Gadebusch. To the west of the district Groß Thurow on the border of Schleswig -Holstein is the Goldensee.

To Roggendorfstraße include the districts Breesen, United Thurow, Small Salitz, Klein Thurow, Lützow Horst, Marienthal and New Thurow. On 1 January 2004, the former Dechower districts Groß Thurow and New Thurow were integrated into the community Roggendorfstraße. Through adjustments to the boundary line between the British and Soviet occupation zone (Barber - Ljaschtschenko Agreement in November 1945) case Thurow came together with Dechow to Mecklenburg.

History

Rogge village is first mentioned in documents as Rotgentorp in Isfriedschen partition treaty of 1194. The church is listed in Ratzeburg tithe register of 1230, which at that time the diocese of Ratzeburg belonging villages ordered by parishes lists. 1369 defeated Duke Albrecht II of Mecklenburg in Roggendorfstraße the Duke Magnus II of Lüneburg. The Good Roggendorfstraße with the patronage of the church was from the beginning of the 15th century to 1694 the property of the family von Lützow and then by Asmus von Lützow his brother, the one sold by Fabrice Councilor for 9000 Taler. The family of Fabrice remained on rye village until 1888. Then the estate went to Carl Hermann Theodor Haase, who had built the present manor of Martin Haller. The landscape park of the estate left by Carl Haase's son and heir Curt Haase 1908/1909 redesign by Leberecht Migge.

Economy and infrastructure

Among the local companies include a company that manufactures specialty trailers and vehicle bodies, an agricultural operation, as well as some craft shops. It is noteworthy that there are more inputs than commuters in the city - a rarity in rural Mecklenburg.

In the mires to Breesen and Lützow was Horst and operated peat in part to this day.

The Federal Highway 208 from Gadebusch into Lauenburgische Ratzeburg runs through the municipality Roggendorfstraße. The nearest railway station is at seven kilometers distant city Gadebusch.
